Tourism Minister Fatima Al Sairafi has affirmed Bahrain’s commitment to enhancing opportunities for co-operation with international markets and partners in line with the objectives of the 2022-2026 Tourism Strategy.
She made the statement following her participation in the Arabian Travel Market 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, held under the theme ‘Global Travel: Transforming the Tourism of the Future through Enhanced Connectivity’.
“The exhibition is one of the largest and most important specialised exhibitions in the travel and tourism sector regionally and globally. This year, it highlights the future aspects of travel and tourism, with a focus on the role of communication in shaping the next phase,” Ms Al Sairafi said.
She emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to participating in major international events, contributing to tourism promotion, enhancing communication with stakeholders in the travel and tourism sector from around the world, and highlighting Bahrain’s tourism infrastructure, showcasing the qualitative developments achieved in the sector.
Bahrain is participating this year with a pavilion comprising 28 entities from the public and private sectors, most notably the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, national carrier Gulf Air, and Exhibition World Bahrain, alongside a number of luxury hotels, resorts, and destination management companies.
Bahrain’s participation covers a 425-square-metre pavilion, showcasing its prominent tourism assets, the latest tourism projects and initiatives. Several bilateral meetings were held with representatives of the tourism sector from around the world to explore opportunities for joint co-operation and exchange best practices in sustainable tourism.
On the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market, the Tourism Minister met UAE Economy Minister Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri and Oman’s Heritage and Tourism Minister Salim bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi.
They discussed prospects for co-operation in tourism and emphasised the importance of further developing partnerships to serve common interests and support tourism development plans in the GCC countries.
