Legal Affairs Minister and Acting Labour Minister Yousef Khalaf met International Labour Organisation (ILO) director-general Gilbert Houngbo during his official visit to Bahrain.
They discussed means to strengthen co-operation between Bahrain and the ILO, particularly in leveraging the organisation’s expertise through its technical assistance programmes offered to member states.
Discussions focused on key areas including occupational safety and health, promoting social dialogue among the three production parties, improving working environments, and enhancing productivity.
These efforts are intended to support the ongoing development of Bahrain’s labour market in line with international labour standards.
