THE Amir of Kuwait, Shaikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, yesterday received Transportation and Telecommunications Minister Dr Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and his accompanying delegation at Saif Palace, during their official visit to Kuwait.
Shaikh Meshal welcomed the minister and his delegation, expressing pride in the deep-rooted ties between Bahrain and Kuwait and their continued progress, particularly in transportation and telecommunications sectors.
He highlighted the two countries’ shared commitment to enhance Gulf and Arab integration.
The Amir relayed his greetings to His Majesty King Hamad and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, along with his wishes for Bahrain’s continued progress and prosperity.
Dr Shaikh Abdulla conveyed the greetings of His Majesty and HRH Prince Salman to the Amir, along with their wishes for Kuwait’s further progress and prosperity.
The minister emphasised the kingdom’s commitment to advancing strategic co-operation with Kuwait, particularly in transportation, telecommunications, digital transformation and logistics sectors.
He also highlighted Bahrain’s support for joint development and integration projects within the framework of the GCC.
Kuwait’s Crown Prince Shaikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Mubarak Al Sabah also received Dr Shaikh Abdulla and his accompanying delegation at Saif Palace.
Shaikh Sabah welcomed the minister and delegation, expressing pride in the historical ties between the two countries.
The minister emphasised Bahrain’s commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty, to enhance strategic co-operation and integration with Kuwait in economic and development domains.
He also noted the kingdom’s support of joint Gulf efforts for the benefit of all GCC countries and their peoples.
