A TOTAL of 145 volunteers donated 102 bags of blood as part of the 15th edition of the Imam Al Hassan Blood Donation Campaign, held at the Karzakan Youth Empowerment Centre.
Held under the slogan ‘The Source of Life’, the campaign was organised by the Joint Committee for Charitable Associations in the Western Region, in co-operation with the Bahrain Society for the Care of Sickle Cell Patients, Al Malkiya Scouts, the Central Blood Bank at the Salmaniya Medical Complex and other private hospitals.
The event was attended by MPs Munir Suroor and Hanan Fardan, as well as heads of various charitable societies across Bahrain.
Campaign chairman Abdulhussain Al Dhaif expressed his gratitude for the strong turnout and highlighted the successful implementation of an electronic registration system provided by the society, which significantly enhanced the organisation and donation process.
