THE Cabinet has highlighted the importance of partnership between the legislative and executive authorities in supporting Bahrain’s progress.
It stressed the kingdom’s commitment to furthering co-ordination and co-operation between them in line with Bahraini citizens’ aspirations.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday.
On His Majesty King Hamad’s Royal Order to conclude the third session of the sixth legislative term of the Shura Council and Parliament, the Cabinet noted the achievements made within the framework of fruitful co-operation between the two authorities.
The session also welcomed the Gulf-US summit to be hosted by Saudi Arabia in Riyadh.
It expressed hopes for a successful outcome in strengthening regional security and stability and in deepening strategic partnerships and co-operation with the US.
The Cabinet also welcomed the King’s meeting with Syrian President Ahmad Al Sharaa, which highlighted the strength of Bahraini-Syrian relations and the importance of enhancing co-operation across various sectors.
The Cabinet extended its best wishes to President Al Sharaa for continued success in achieving the aspirations of the Syrian people.
This follows the Cabinet’s review of a report by Foreign Minister Dr Abullatif Al Zayani on the outcomes of the meeting.
