The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) organised a joint meeting with several representatives from the private sector, including hotels, shopping centers, and entertainment projects, to discuss BTEA’s plans and programmes for the "Bahrain Summer 2025" festival, as part of its efforts to develop the partnership between the public and private sectors in executing major events. During the meeting, Ms. Sarah Ahmed Buhiji, CEO of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority, emphasised the crucial role of the private sector in the success of the tourism programmes and initiatives implemented by the authority, noting that effective partnership with the private sector is a fundamental pillar in executing the tourism strategy 2022–2026, that aims to diversify the tourism product and increase the sector's contribution to the national economy.
She also stated that the BTEA is keen on diversifying the tourism product and providing summer programmes aimed at citizens, residents, and visitors in general, especially the citizens of the GCC countries, by offering innovative events that support the status of the Kingdom of Bahrain as a preferred tourist destination in the region.
