Bahrain will host the 32nd Annual Middle East Petroleum & Gas Conference (MPGC 2025) from May 26 to 28, organisers S&P Global Commodity Insights and host Bapco Energies said.
The event, to be held under the patronage of Oil and Environment Minister and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs Dr Mohammed Bin Daina, will focus on dialogue around the region’s energy landscape amid rising global demand for sustainable solutions.
MPGC 2025 will feature industry leaders discussing the theme of ‘Balancing Traditional and Renewable Energy in the Middle East,’ exploring global market dynamics and the future of energy.
The conference will open on May 27 with keynote addresses from S&P Global Commodity Insights co-president Mark Eramo and Bapco Energies Group chief executive Mark Thomas, with Dr Bin Daina attending.
Discussions on the first day will cover navigating the energy frontier, geopolitical influences, and global oil and gas dynamics.
The second day will shift focus to downstream perspectives and low-carbon energy sources, including refining outlooks, transportation fuels, sustainable aviation fuel, and the integration of gas with solar and nuclear energy, as well as the impact of carbon markets.
“MPGC 2025 represents a crucial platform for industry stakeholders to convene and explore the complexities of the energy landscape, fostering collaboration and innovation towards a sustainable future,” said S&P Global Commodity Insights vice-president and head of events Lyn Tattum.
The conference is expected to draw participants from the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas, including stakeholders from the oil and gas sector, financial institutions, regulatory bodies, and renewable energy industries.
