The Labour Ministry has refuted online claims that fake companies are offering employment and training opportunities on its electronic employment platform.
It said in an official statement that all companies listed on the platform were legitimate, licensed entities operating in accordance with the laws of the kingdom.
The ministry stressed its ongoing commitment to ensuring the integrity of all procedures related to the listing of job vacancies for Bahrainis in the private sector.
It also reiterated its readiness to adopt necessary improvements and enhancements to fulfil its objective of preparing job-seekers and integrating them into suitable employment opportunities.
Officials confirmed that they will continue to co-operate closely with the relevant authorities to verify the companies posting vacancies on the platform.
The GDN reported last month that the ministry had urged the public to report any information or evidence related to fraudulent employment or training opportunities
It also urged individuals who had fallen victim to scams, or who possessed credible information, to submit details, documents and evidence through official channels.
The move comes amid growing concerns raised in Parliament about the rising number of scams that have left many Bahrainis vulnerable to exploitation.
Parliament services committee vice-chairman Mohammed Al Olaiwi sounded the alarm, warning that fake job and training schemes have become increasingly sophisticated, ensnaring citizens into legal and financial trouble.
He pointed to particularly concerning cases where individuals were offered ‘stay-at-home’ jobs – allegedly to help qualify for government employment support initiatives.
