BBK has elevated four Bahraini employees to assistant general manager, reinforcing its commitment to developing national talent for senior leadership.
Ahmed Sultan in the retail banking division, Ahmed Qudoos in group corporate secretariat as well as Adnan Al Ameer and Nasser Al Alawi in international banking were recognised for their exceptional performance and dedication.
The bank’s group chief executive Yaser Alsharifi emphasised BBK’s focus on empowering Bahraini professionals, stating their advancement reflects the bank’s investment in internal talent as a driver of sustained growth.
He highlighted the bank’s dedication to increasing Bahrainisation in the financial sector, aligning with Bahrain’s Vision 2030.

BBK Group chief human resources and administration officer Hassaan Burshaid noted the bank’s 96pc Bahrainisation rate in 2024, underscoring its commitment to national workforce development and its aim to further increase Bahraini representation in leadership.
Mr Sultan holds an MBA from the University of Strathclyde and has more than 18 years of banking experience including leadership roles in retail banking at BBK.
Mr Qudoos has a bachelor of science from the University of Bahrain and a certificate from George Washington University, with 29 years of financial sector experience.
Mr Al Ameer holds a master of science in finance from DePaul University and a bachelor’s degree from Bangor University. He is also a certified management accountant with 16 years of banking experience and three years in auditing.
Mr Al Alawi has an MBA from DePaul University and a bachelor’s in banking and finance from the University of Bahrain.
He too is a certified management accountant and has more than 15 years of banking experience.
