Bahrain has welcomed the European Union’s decision to lift economic sanctions on Syria, considering it a positive step towards building a modern Syrian state and fulfilling the aspirations of its people for stability and prosperity.
The Foreign Ministry reaffirmed Bahrain’s steadfast support for Syria’s unity, sovereignty, security, and independence. It also expressed its support for efforts aimed at recovery, reconstruction, the consolidation of peace, sustainable development, and the restoration of Syria’s active role at the Arab, regional, and international levels.
