A call to adhere to Haj health and organisational guidelines has been made by the Supreme Committee for Haj and Umrah Affairs as the first batch of pilgrims left the country yesterday.
The committee issued a set of guidelines to ensure the safe and smooth performance of rituals as 4,625 registered pilgrims from Bahrain, divided between 55 licensed Haj operators, gear up to perform Haj this season.
It called on all pilgrims to carry their personal identification and the smart ‘Nusuk’ card during their movements within the holy sites.
The panel said the Nusuk card plays a pivotal role in facilitating pilgrims’ movement and expediting service provision, especially in emergencies.
The card serves as official proof of the pilgrim’s legal status and right to perform the Haj, enabling authorities to deliver services more efficiently and in a well-organised manner.
Pilgrims were also urged to register on official digital platforms endorsed by Saudi authorities, including Tawakkalna and Nusuk, in line with the technological and regulatory requirements for this year’s Haj season.
They have been reminded to carry their vaccination booklet, along with any medications required for chronic conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes, to safeguard their health.
Additionally, the committee stressed the importance of pilgrims travelling strictly with their assigned and approved Haj campaign groups.
This co-ordination is essential to ensure efficient transportation and the orderly delivery of services throughout the pilgrimage, the panel added.
In case of any health-related or organisational emergencies, pilgrims are advised to immediately contact their campaign supervisors or the Bahraini Haj Mission to receive timely support and assistance.
The committee expressed its sincere appreciation to the Saudi Haj and Umrah Ministry and all relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia for their outstanding efforts in organising the Haj season.
Meanwhile, the Saudi Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance Ministry received the Bahraini pilgrims via King Fahad Causeway with a warm welcome.
