His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today met with Her Excellency Paetongtarn Shinawatra, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s official visit to Malaysia.
His Royal Highness highlighted the longstanding friendship and growing cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Thailand, noting the continued expansion of bilateral ties across various sectors.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa emphasised the importance of advancing cooperation and joint coordination to unlock new opportunities that support the mutual prosperity and development of both nations and their peoples.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening Bahraini-Thai relations, building on existing cooperation and coordination efforts to achieve shared goals and mutual aspirations.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister emphasised the significance of the Gulf Cooperation Council–Association of Southeast Asian Nations (GCC–ASEAN) Summit and the GCC–ASEAN–China Summit in strengthening cooperation, as well as promoting the exchange of expertise and best practices among participating countries. His Royal Highness noted that such efforts contribute to the creation of promising opportunities that advance sustainable development and prosperity across the region and beyond.
During the meeting, ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Bahrain and Thailand were reviewed, along with discussions on the latest regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest.
