The Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution (BCDR) and the Russian Arbitration Centre (RAC) at the Russian Institute of Modern Arbitration signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance the resolution of international disputes during the Russian International Arbitration Congress (RIAC), held in Moscow.
The MoU was signed by BCDR board of trustees vice chairperson Professor Marike Paulsson, and Russian Arbitration Centre CEO Yulia Mullina at the centre’s offices in Moscow.
The partnership aims to strengthen co-operation in the field of arbitration by organising a series of joint conferences, seminars and workshops in both Bahrain and the Russia.
The MoU also facilitates the exchange of expertise and encourages engagement by inviting stakeholders from each party’s local arbitration community to participate in key events hosted by the other, including those organised by the Russian Arbitration Centre in Bahrain and by BCDR in Russia.
Prof Paulsson said that the partnership with the Russian Arbitration Centre confirms BCDR’s commitment to advancing the global arbitration landscape, noting that combining resources and expertise can lead to better service for the international business community.
Ms Mullina said that the MoU with BCDR represents a milestone for the Russian arbitration community, and expressed hope for fruitful co-operation that would support the exchange of knowledge and best practices to benefit all stakeholders in international arbitration.
