The Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organisation honoured Bahrain for ranking in the top tier globally in the 2024 Global Cybersecurity Index (CAISEC-25) in Cairo.
The recognition took place during the opening of the 4th International Conference on Information Security and Cybersecurity, held on Sunday and yesterday, in Cairo under the patronage of Egyptian Prime Minister Dr Mostafa Madbouly.
National Cyber Security Centre deputy president for cyber operations Shaikh Abdulla bin Mohammed Al Khalifa received the Arab Excellence Shield on Bahrain’s behalf. He highlighted the kingdom’s progress in cybersecurity, supported by a comprehensive national strategy, leadership backing, and investment in qualified national talent, positioning Bahrain as a strategic partner with regional and global influence in cybersecurity.
