In a cryptic post on social media yesterday, Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa hinted at ‘surprises’ in Avengers: Doomsday which is reportedly being filmed in Bahrain.
His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs posted a picture of himself on Instagram holding Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir, and the Captain America shield with the caption: “We all are waiting for the Avengers, Doomsday. Might be couple of surprises in it.”

Meanwhile, several members of the cast of the Marvel Cinematic Universe film and director Joe Russo have been spotted in Bahrain.
Anthony Mackie (who plays Captain America), Letitia Wright, Simu Liu, Joe Russo, Danny Ramirez, Winston Duke, Hannah John-Kamen and Tenoch Huerta were all seen at the Address Beach Resort in Marassi Al Bahrain.
The American superhero film, which is based on the Marvel Comics superhero team the Avengers and is set to be released on December 18, 2026, also stars Robert Downey Jr, Pedro Pascal, Chris Hemsworth and Florence Pugh.
