Bahraini AI-powered smart order management app Tammam won first place at the latest StartUp Bahrain Pitch event, a platform showcasing emerging founders in the kingdom’s burgeoning entrepreneurial ecosystem.
BizBay, a digital marketplace for business transactions, secured second place.
The event, hosted by StartUp Bahrain and supported by the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), brought together rising startups before a panel of industry experts and investors. Key collaborators included the Industry and Commerce Ministry, Bahrain Economic Development Board, and Bahrain Development Bank (BDB).
The judging panel featured AlJabr Mena chief commercial officer Fatma Sultan Bahwan, Inaugural partner Sam Marchant, Hub71 portfolio manager Karim Konsowa, and Mumtalakat associate director Laith Al Khalili.
Finalists included Tammam, which streamlines small-scale operations across food, retail, and beauty sectors; Rentat, a proptech platform for automated rent collection; and Safer, a travel-focussed fintech offering a ‘Buy Now, Pay Later’ service for trip bookings.
Noor Alderazi, representing Tammam, said the win was “a great honour” and provided a valuable platform to showcase their work among experts and investors. Ali AlSawad of BizBay thanked the supporting entities for the opportunity to connect with the startup community and explore growth avenues.
