HIS Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday met Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, the King of Malaysia.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s official visit to Malaysia.
He affirmed that the continued strengthening and development of Bahrain-Malaysia relations reflects the steadfast support of His Majesty King Hamad and Sultan Ibrahim.
This growing partnership continues to create new opportunities for bilateral co-ordination between the two countries, he said.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister conveyed the greetings of His Majesty to Sultan Ibrahim, along with his sincere wishes for continued success and prosperity for Malaysia.
The King of Malaysia also extended his greetings to His Majesty.
HRH Prince Salman highlighted the strength of the long-standing bilateral relations between Bahrain and Malaysia, underscoring the importance of further enhancing co-operation that serves the mutual interests of both countries.
He reiterated the kingdom’s support for the joint efforts of the GCC countries and Malaysia to establish a free trade agreement.
In this regard, HRH Prince Salman outlined that the agreement would mark a strategic milestone in strengthening economic co-operation between the GCC and Malaysia, contributing to increased trade and sustained economic growth.
Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa and Private Secretary to the Crown Prince Shaikh Abdulla bin Isa Al Khalifa also attended the meeting.
