A fishing ban on spangled Emperor (Shaari), rabbitfish (Safi) and seabream (Andag) is set to end on May 31 as fishermen return to the sea on Sunday (June 1).
The yearly ban, from April 1 to May 31, was introduced last year (2024) by the SCE.
The measure forms part of the kingdom’s efforts to conserve marine resources, restore ecological balance, rehabilitate marine ecosystems, and increase both the quantity and diversity of fish available in local markets.
