WE fancied a change of scenery for breakfast, so we nipped over to Sa’ada Marina in Bahrain for a bite with a view.
Parking was a doddle, with a complimentary multi-storey car park right there. Stepping out, we were immediately greeted by the most picturesque waterfront – a truly charming spot, and a splendid start to our family outing. The marina’s allure really did sweep us away into a world of maritime splendour from the off.
As we ambled along the promenades, we had a good look at the various restaurants and coffee shops dotted about. We settled on a Bahraini eatery, keen to kick off the day with a proper hearty breakfast overlooking the tranquil waters of the bay. The Manama skyline provided a striking backdrop, and as we tucked into our Bahraini delights, our toddler loved pointing out the boats docked in the marina.
Bellies full, we embarked on a leisurely wander along the waterfront promenade. The sea breeze, feeling quite cool next to the water, was wonderfully refreshing on our cheeks. The views were simply splendid, with various bridges stretching across the skyline, a mix of grand dhow boats and more modern vessels bobbing in the water, and even a fascinating adjacent mural of an elderly Bahraini man opening a traditional door.
