Civil Defence extinguished a fire in two flats in a three-storey building in Gudaibiya.
The building's tenants were evacuated as a precautionary measure.
One person was taken to hospital for treatment and is said to be in good health.
Initial investigations indicate that a short circuit caused the fire.
