A telephone call was held yesterday between His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, and US Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth.
He highlighted the strength of the long-standing Bahrain-US relationship, anchored in a historic and strategic partnership spanning various sectors, including in military and defence.
HRH Prince Salman emphasised the importance of mutual agreements, such as the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA), which continues to enhance bilateral co-ordination.
He reaffirmed the kingdom’s commitment to supporting efforts aimed at safeguarding regional and international peace and security.
He also underscored the pivotal role of the US, in co-ordination with its allies, in maintaining stability and security across the region and globally.
Both sides discussed latest regional and international developments as well as issues of common interest.
