A number of individuals, including a woman, have been arrested on suspicion of possessing more than 22kg of narcotics and psychotropic substances worth BD267,000.
The arrests followed a tip-off received by the Anti-Narcotics Directorate, said an Interior Ministry statement.
The directorate added that case was referred to the Public Prosecution.
It also urged people to report any suspicious drug trafficking activity via the hotline, 996, the main operations room at 999, or by email at interior.gov.bh@996. The informant is assured complete confidentiality.
