Bahrain’s candidacy for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for the 2026-2027 term represents a new international assertion of the growing confidence in the kingdom’s foreign policy.
This confidence stems from the far-sighted vision and wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in promoting peace, encouraging dialogue and upholding the values of coexistence, tolerance and international co-operation.
