His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday met Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (Baca) president Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and members of the team who participated in the 19th International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia (Biennale Architettura 2025), at Gudaibiya Palace.
The meeting took place following Bahrain’s pavilion being awarded Best National Participation at the exhibition.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted that the kingdom’s excellence across various fields is driven by the dedication of its national workforce, whose ambition and passion for success have consistently delivered both domestically and on the international stage.
He noted that these contributions continue to support the kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also highlighted Bahrain’s efforts to adopt and implement innovative initiatives that reinforce its leading position and proactive participation in international cultural forums.
HRH Prince Salman expressed his pride in Bahrain receiving the award, which reflects the international community’s recognition of the country’s efforts towards urban development as well as addressing environmental challenges.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed to the pavilion, commending their dedicated efforts that led to this achievement.
He also commended the pavilion’s content and creativity, which reflect Bahrain’s identity, architectural heritage, and progressive vision in addressing global environmental challenges.
HRH Prince Salman reaffirmed Bahrain’s unwavering commitment to supporting international efforts aimed at developing sustainable solutions to tackle environmental issues.
He highlighted Bahrain’s rich and diverse architectural heritage, underlining the kingdom’s commitment to preserving it for future generations and showcasing it to the international community through various initiatives and distinctive visions.
Shaikh Khalifa expressed his appreciation for HRH Prince Salman’s support of the kingdom’s culture and antiquities sector.
Shaikh Khalifa said that this award reflects the support and patronage the sector receives from His Majesty, as well as the directives of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to strengthen Bahrain’s presence across various international forums.
Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa attended the meeting.
