His Majesty King Hamad’s Personal Representative, Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) chairman and High Committee for the Development of Hawar Islands chairman Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa held a meeting with senior officials from Bapco Energies and the high committee.
He commended the significant progress and achievements of Bapco Energies, highlighting the group’s role in supporting Bahrain’s economy and contributing to the nation’s comprehensive development under the leadership of His Majesty, and with the continued support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Shaikh Abdulla also commended His Majesty’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Bapco Energies board chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his leadership in advancing Bahrain’s energy transformation.
He emphasised the vital role of national energy companies in accelerating the energy transition and underscored Bahrain’s commitment to sustainable energy development as a key pillar of economic growth and environmental stewardship.
The meeting reviewed future collaboration between the high committee and Bapco Energies on development projects in the Hawar Islands. Several strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing Bahrain’s competitiveness, attracting investment and promoting environmental sustainability were also reviewed.
Participants commended Shaikh Abdulla’s dedication to advancing tourism and economic development in the islands and commended Bahrain’s continued economic achievements that reinforce its position as a regional investment hub.
