Bahrain Council for International Dispute Resolution secretary general Professor Marike Paulsson took part in a session titled ‘The Future of Institutional Arbitration’ during London Disputes Week 2025.
The panel included Kevin Nash, director of the London Court of International Arbitration, alongside representatives from Dubai, Qatar, Finland, Madrid and Sweden.
Prof Paulsson discussed key issues concerning the intersection of sovereignty and international law. She also addressed the evolving relationship between arbitration institutions and users, as well as strategies for managing emerging challenges.
On the sidelines of the event, Prof Paulsson met the director of the London Court of International Arbitration to discuss future co-operation, emphasising Bahrain’s commitment to contributing to the global dialogue on the future of arbitration.
