Students, teachers and staff of Bhavans-Bahrain Indian School (BIS) celebrated Eid Al Adha with a cultural assembly that featured singing of the Bahraini national anthem, recitation from the Quran, and a skit on Islamic values, emphasising principles such as kindness, humility and honesty.
The event also included an engaging Arabic speech and song, a rendition of an Arabic and Hindi Nasheed and a short mime on how to perform Tawaf in Medina.
Kindergarten students, dressed in colourful clothes, performed a Qawwali and a short skit highlighting the significance of Eid.
Following the cultural programme, students participated in Eid-themed craft activities and the day concluded with the distribution of traditional treats to all. School directors Himanshu and Ritu Verma appreciated the students’ efforts while principal Saji Jacob delivered an inspiring speech.
