A NUMBER of illegal fish traps (gargoor) have been seized as part of an inspection campaign by the Coastguard in Fasht Adhem and Umm Jaleed off the eastern coast of Bahrain.
The inspections are being held as part of efforts to preserve the environment in the area and enhance security in the kingdom’s territorial waters.
The authorities affirmed that they will continue combating infringements that violate the laws of the kingdom which are aimed at protecting the marine environment.
