A female motorist has been arrested on suspicion of driving on the wrong side of the road of a busy highway in Bahrain after her antics were shared on social media.
The incident happened on King Faisal Highway, according to the General Directorate of Traffic, and following an investigation, the driver was questioned and the case referred to the Public Prosecution.
The woman has been remanded in custody, and she will shortly appear in court after being charged with driving offences.
Police chiefs have once again called on all motorists to comply with traffic rules following a recent spate of erratic driving behaviour incidents on the kingdom’s roads, some with fatal consequences, as reported in the GDN.
