The Portuguese community in Bahrain celebrated its National Day with a reception at the Royal Golf Club, Riffa last night.
Captain Ameen Budagher and Benedita Budagher welcomed guests at the event which featured a cake-cutting ceremony and was attended by members of the Shura Council and other officials.
Portuguese National Day is celebrated on June 10 and commemorates the death of poet and literary icon Luís de Camões.
