ECO-FRIENDLY electric bikes are being tried in certain areas across the kingdom as part of efforts to improve sustainability, the Transportation and Telecommunication Ministry said in a statement yesterday.
The ministry said that two companies have already been licensed to operate the bikes, and two more licences are currently pending.
They will be on trial in three places for now – the Nasser bin Hamad Cycling Track in Zallaq, Al Fateh Corniche in Manama and Bahrain Bay.
