The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain’s Executive Chef Joergen Sodemann joined a team of hospitality hotshots on a temporary mission to ensure the crew of a superyacht are ready to welcome guests on the most memorable voyage of their lives.
As one of only 52 Ritz-Carlton trainers selected from around the world, Chef Joergen embarked on a transformative 10-day journey, alongside talented leaders dedicated to elevating service, setting new standards of excellence and ‘embodying the very heart of The Ritz-Carlton’.
“Congratulations for this achievement, which celebrates not only his hospitality expertise but also Chef Joergen’s dedication to mentorship, innovation and inspiring ladies and gentlemen across the globe,” said general manager Bernard de Villele.
“We’re immensely proud of Joergen’s contribution to Luminara.”

Chef Joergen’s distinguished career includes working for The Ritz-Carlton brand in a variety of locations around the world including Berlin, Oman and Amman, where he has honed his skills and developed a unique culinary style.
“When you invest in quality, you never fail,” Chef Joergen added.
He was joined on-board the superyacht training mission by former Ritz-Carlton Bahrain Hotel managers Agusti Curto Calbet and Andrea Colla. The hospitality industry leaders were in France for 10 days based at Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France.

The superyacht Luminara
Luminara, the company’s new superyacht, features 226 suites with private terraces and ‘unparalleled space ratios for guests at sea’, while two new upper suite categories deliver 1,000 square feet of uplifting ambiance.
Holidaymakers are invited to savour moments in five restaurants, seven bars and a beverage vault. On-board experiences include a spa, fitness studio and pool.
