The Committee on International Affairs of the State Duma of the Russian Federal Assembly organised a session to discuss the outcomes of Bahrain’s participation in the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, which was held from June 18 to 20.
The session in Moscow yesterday was attended by Bahrain’s Ambassador to Russia Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati as well as State Duma and the Parliamentary Friendship Committee with Bahrain member Andrey Svintsov and members of the Duma.
The committee commended Bahrain’s role as guest of honour at the forum. It highlighted that the kingdom’s participation reflects the strong ties between the two countries, which have lasted for 35 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties.
Ambassador Al Saati emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to further developing relations with Russia in the interests of both peoples, guided by the vision of His Majesty King Hamad and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
