Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al Musallam commended the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad and the continued support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in ensuring the smooth and successful organisation of the processions season.
The Speaker noted that Bahrain continues to stand as a model of peaceful coexistence and social unity, grounded in national values, legal frameworks, and mutual respect for religious freedoms. He said that co-operation between citizens and institutions reflects a shared commitment to harmony and responsible religious practice.
Mr Al Musallam also highlighted the importance of national identity and social cohesion in strengthening Bahrain’s traditions of tolerance and inclusivity under the rule of law and wise leadership.
He expressed his appreciation to the Interior Ministry for maintaining public security and supporting the observance of religious rituals in a safe environment.
Mr Al Musallam praised the joint efforts of government bodies, local authorities and religious establishments, which contributed to a well-managed season. He added that their co-ordination not only ensured public safety and logistical readiness but also demonstrated the strength of community partnership and national solidarity.
Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh also praised the King’s support and emphasised that his directives reflect Bahrain’s enduring commitment to safeguarding religious rites and promoting a culture of tolerance and coexistence.
The chairman also commended the efforts of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the co-ordinated work of government bodies in ensuring a secure, well-organised processions season.
He noted the role of the Jafaari Endowments Directorate in supporting ma’atams and Hussainiyas, and praised the spirit of co-operation between public institutions and local communities.
Jaffari Endowments Council chairman Yusuf Saleh Al Saleh expressed his appreciation to the King for his patronage and support.
Mr Al Saleh noted that this year’s commemorations reflected Bahrain’s commitment to protecting religious freedoms and promoting social harmony. He thanked all those who contributed to the success of the season, noting the spirit of partnership and shared responsibility that defines Bahrain’s approach to religious occasions.
