Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa has underscored the governorate’s ongoing commitment to strengthening communication, prompting responsiveness and community partnership, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Shaikh Khalifa noted that as part of its digital transformation efforts, the governorate issued a mid-year report indicating it received approximately 1,209 enquiries and requests by the end of June 2025 across security, service and social sectors.
He said that these were submitted through various channels, including phone calls, the Southern Governorate app, email, the national Tawasul platform and the Governorate Council.
The requests were categorised as 42 per cent service-related, 37pc social, and 21pc security, the Governor added.
He also emphasised that a specialised team processes and analyses incoming requests before referring them to the appropriate departments, followed by field monitoring to ensure proper follow-up.
Shaikh Khalifa reiterated the governorate’s dedication to maintaining effective communication with residents and facilitating their feedback through direct contact, digital platforms and smart services, in line with national efforts to enhance service delivery and community engagement.
