Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa met Pakistani Interior and Narcotics Control Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi upon his arrival in Bahrain yesterday.
The two ministers proceeded to the Interior Ministry headquarters, where an honour guard was held. Deputy Interior Minister Lieutenant General Adel bin Khalifa Al Fadhel, Public Security Chief Lieutenant General Tariq Al Hassan and senior ministry officials were present.
Gen Shaikh Rashid highlighted the visit’s importance in reinforcing security ties based on the strong relations between Bahrain and Pakistan. He commended the outstanding level of security co-ordination between the two countries.
Discussions covered enhancing co-operation in security, addressing regional and global challenges and developing the work of the Bahrain-Pakistan joint security committee.
At the conclusion of the visit, Mr Naqvi recorded a message in the visitors’ book, expressing his appreciation for the opportunity to visit the Interior Ministry and discuss avenues for enhancing co-operation.
