Seven kilogrammes of narcotics worth approximately BD121,000 were seized in several separate incidents, the Interior Ministry announced in a statement.
The statement added that 'several' individuals were arrested separately as they attempted to smuggle the drugs into Bahrain.
The General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science's Anti-Narcotics Directorate worked with Customs Affairs, to arrest the individuals.
The Directorate explained that upon receiving information related to the incidents, investigations were immediately launched, including intelligence gathering and evidence collection.
These efforts led to the identification and arrest of the suspects, who were found in possession of the narcotics, which were confiscated.
Necessary legal procedures have been taken, and the cases referred to the Public Prosecution.
The Criminal Media Division also stressed the importance of community partnerships in raising awareness about the dangers of drug abuse.
