Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa yesterday chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting, held at Gudaibiya Palace.
The Cabinet commended the directives of Prime Minister’s Court Minister and Labour Fund (Tamkeen) board of directors chairman Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to launch a new set of initiatives and programmes aimed at developing and training national healthcare professionals.
In collaboration with the Supreme Council of Health, the new programme will support 750 Bahraini doctors and nurses, further strengthening the national healthcare workforce.
The Cabinet commended the successful organisation of Ashoora, highlighting the efforts of the Interior Ministry and its co-ordination with various public agencies in implementing the directives of His Majesty King Hamad.
The Cabinet also recognised the collective contributions of the Jaffari Endowments Council, Ma’atams directors and their supervisory committees, as well as volunteer field teams, in ensuring that all activities were conducted safely, efficiently, and in an orderly manner.
The Cabinet reviewed and approved the following memorandums:
1. A memorandum submitted by the Government Executive Committee regarding developments in the Government Priorities Framework 4.0.
2. A memorandum submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs regarding a draft law issuing the Buildings Regulation Law.
3. A memorandum submitted by the Cabinet Affairs Minister and chairman of the board of directors of the Education and Training Quality Authority, regarding the approval of the authority’s reports.
4. A memorandum submitted by the Tourism Minister regarding Exhibition World Bahrain.
5. A memorandum submitted by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs on the government’s response to seven proposals submitted by Parliament and a draft law submitted by the Shura Council.
The Cabinet also reviewed the following memorandums:
1. A memorandum was submitted by the Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister regarding the decisions and recommendations issued by the Capital Municipal Council and the other municipal councils during the first three sessions of the sixth municipal term (December 2022-June 2025). The Cabinet recognised the important contributions of the Capital Municipal Council and the other municipal councils to the kingdom’s development.
2. A memorandum submitted by the Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Minister regarding a report on building permit statistics for the first half of 2025.
The Cabinet noted the following ministerial reports:
1. Outcomes of the official visit of the Transportation and Telecommunications Minister to Saudi Arabia.
2. Outcomes of the kingdom’s participation in the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development.
3. Outcomes of the kingdom’s participation in the high-level Arab regional meeting to prepare for the Second World Summit for Social Development.
