His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has emphasised Bahrain’s unwavering commitment to expanding the Bahrain-US strategic partnership.
He met US Vice President J D Vance at the White House yesterday.
HRH Prince Salman said this strategic partnership, which spans over 130 years, builds on recent visits and bilateral agreements, particularly the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA), which was joined by the United Kingdom following an invitation extended by Bahrain and the United States.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister described C-SIPA as a major step toward fostering broader regional security integration, strengthening collective deterrence against external threats and expanding co-operation in commerce, science and technology with like-minded states in support of peace and prosperity in the Middle East.
He affirmed the kingdom’s commitment to cementing its position as a regional hub for technology and industry.
This is supported by Bahrain’s favourable legislative and regulatory environment, its strategic location and advanced infrastructure – all of which will play a crucial role in strengthening bilateral relations.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed that the $17 billion investment package announced during this visit – spanning multiple sectors – reflects the deep trust and strong ties between Bahrain and the United States, further advancing their strategic partnership.
HRH Prince Salman expressed hope for the advancement of joint efforts across diverse sectors, paving the way for greater bilateral co-operation that aligns with the shared aspirations of both countries.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister affirmed the strength and depth of the economic partnership, describing it as a strategic milestone which reflects the enduring bilateral relationship and the long-standing tradition of co-ordination between them.
He also underscored the shared commitment to exploring new and promising opportunities for economic and investment collaboration, in line with shared development goals.
HRH Prince Salman emphasised the importance of co-operation in peaceful nuclear power, given its positive impact on development and the transition towards sustainable energy.
Both sides explored topics of mutual interest and discussed recent regional and international developments, reiterating the importance of working closer together to uphold regional stability.
Prime Minister’s Court Minister Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and several senior officials also attended the meeting.
