Bhavans-Bahrain Indian School (BIS) has been awarded the prestigious ‘Outstanding’ rating by the Bahrain Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA), the highest rating a school can achieve under the national quality framework.
It is given to schools that demonstrates exceptional leadership and governance, consistently delivers high-quality teaching, ensures excellent student achievement and personal development, and maintains a safe, inclusive and well-resourced learning environment.
The school stated that the recognition, achieved in just three years since commencing their Senior Secondary Education (Grade 12), reflects the commitment, vision and relentless efforts of educators, students and the leadership team.
The school scored top marks in all core performance standards, including students’ academic achievement, their personal development and well-being, quality of teaching, learning and assessment, and leadership, management and governance.
School directors Himanshu Verma and Ritu Verma, and Principal Saji Jacob congratulated all stakeholders of the school and described it as the proudest moment in the school’s journey.
“This rating reaffirms our commitment to nurturing excellence, inspiring curiosity, and empowering every learner to thrive,” said Mr Verma.
“It serves as a national benchmark and reflects the school’s strong contribution to the kingdom’s vision of educational advancement.”
Ms Verma dedicated the award to every member of the BIS family, and Mr Jacob attributed the success to the school leadership, the staff, parents and the students.
