Tourism Minister Fatima Al Sairafi yesterday received Bahrain Society for Tolerance and Coexistence of Religions (Ta’ayush) board of directors chairman Yousef Mohammad Bozboun along with board members.
She commended the association’s efforts in promoting Bahrain’s values of peaceful coexistence and cultural openness, both locally and internationally.
She affirmed that the kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, continues to embody a unique model of interfaith harmony and mutual respect, values deeply rooted in the national identity and shaped by Bahrain’s long-standing cultural heritage.
The minister was briefed on the association’s founding, development and key initiatives, including community outreach programmes, participation in national and religious events and partnerships with public and private institutions aimed at fostering a culture of tolerance.
She highlighted the importance of continued collaboration with civil society organisations in supporting Bahrain’s positive image and furthering its role as a destination for international events across diverse sectors, from culture and tourism to innovation and sports.
