OIL and Environment Minister and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs Dr Mohammed bin Daina has emphasised the importance of continuing to strengthen the partnership between the public and private sectors to support initiatives with sustainable environmental impact.
The minister was speaking as he received National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) group chief executive Osman Ahmed yesterday.
Dr Bin Daina commended the vital role played by banking institutions in supporting environmental projects and encouraging the adoption of practices that enhance resource sustainability and environmental preservation.
He also highlighted NBB’s efforts in supporting economic development pathways, commending its role in backing strategic projects, particularly in the energy and environment sectors.
On his part, Mr Ahmed underscored the bank’s commitment to continuing its support for various vital sectors that underpin the national economy, including the energy sector, within the framework of the bank’s ongoing dedication to supporting national efforts to achieve sustainable development goals in line with the desired aspirations.
