A 41-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly exploiting and luring several children to obtain video recordings using his account on social media platforms.
The Child Protection in Cyberspace Unit at the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption, Economic and Electronic Security said it launched investigations after receiving a complaint from one of the children’s parents.
This led to the arrest of the suspect and legal procedures were completed to refer the case to the Public Prosecution.
The unit stressed the importance of parents continuously monitoring their children and raising their awareness about the risks associated with using social media and various other digital applications.
