A 3D seismic survey will be held within a designated geographic area inside the territorial waters of Bahrain by Bapco Energies in co-ordination with the Coastguard.
The current phase of the survey is expected to continue until September 1, with the location of the second phase to be announced at a later date.
Sea-goers have been urged to exercise caution, adhere to safe speeds and avoid damaging or moving marine markers or buoys placed in the area.
The buoys will be positioned and illuminated at night for navigational purposes and to ensure the safety of all maritime users.
