A Parliamentary Division of Bahrain took part in a high-level meeting titled “Upholding the UN Charter and International Law to Ensure International Peace and Security”, held yesterday in Geneva. The meeting was hosted by Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on the sidelines of the Sixth Conference of Parliamentary Speakers, organised by the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
Bahrain was represented by Parliament First Deputy Speaker Abdulnabi Salman and Shura Council foreign affairs, defence and national security committee member Dr Bassam Albinmohammed.
The delegation reaffirmed the kingdom’s firm support for regional and international efforts aimed at promoting global peace and security, upholding international law, and respecting the UN Charter.
