The Information and eGovernment Authority (iGA) discussed collaboration with the Royal Academy of Police to advance artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities within the public security sector.
This is in line with directives by Interior Minister and Ministerial Committee for Information Technology and Communication chairman General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa.
Led by iGA chief executive Mohammed Ali Al Qaed and Major General Fawaz Hassan Al Hassan, Commander of the Royal Academy of Police, this collaboration aims to establish an integrated framework for the development of innovative solutions and the delivery of specialised training for the ministry’s members aimed at enhancing technical proficiency and operational effectiveness.
The discussions focused on the adoption of AI technologies which have the potential to enhance performance and introduce even more innovation.
Both parties explored the design of targeted training programmes for the ministry’s team members across all levels and specialities, to strengthen their technical and practical AI abilities. The aim is to ensure the effective and sustainable use of these advanced technologies.
