The legitimate rights of the Palestinian people are deeply rooted in the hearts of all Arabs, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has said.
HRH Prince Salman emphasised the importance of unified international efforts to realise and uphold those rights during a meeting with Palestinian Interior Minister Ziad Mahmoud Hab Al Reeh and his accompanying delegation at Riffa Palace yesterday.
He highlighted the long-standing ties between Bahrain and Palestine as well as the multi-sectoral collaboration, supported by His Majesty King Hamad and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.
The visiting Palestinian minister conveyed to the King and HRH Prince Salman the greetings of President Abbas, and expressed his wishes for continued progress and success for Bahrain.
HRH Prince Salman extended the greetings of His Majesty, as well as his own, to President Abbas, along with wishes for prosperity and stability for Palestine.
He reiterated the kingdom’s firm stance in supporting the Palestinian cause aimed at achieving a just and lasting solution guaranteeing the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
HRH Prince Salman emphasised the importance of de-escalation, protecting civilians and the release of hostages.
He reiterated the need for continued humanitarian aid delivery to Gaza and commended the efforts of allied countries in this regard.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister also welcomed the shared commitment between the two countries to advancing co-operation across various sectors, including security collaboration.
Other issues of mutual interest and avenues to further strengthen co-operation were discussed.
The minister expressed his gratitude for HRH Prince Salman’s commitment to advancing bilateral relations and for the warm welcome he had received during his visit to the kingdom.
Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and several senior officials attended the meeting.
