The Bahrain Space Agency took part in the meeting of the Action Team on Lunar Activities Consultation (ATLAC), an international group overseen by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs that co-ordinates global efforts related to lunar exploration.
The agency was represented by Dr Mohamed Al Othman, Ali Al Mahmood and Hala Ibrahim.
The session was held in a hybrid format, combining in person participation in Vienna and virtual attendance.
ATLAC aims to identify the challenges and opportunities related to lunar activities, enhance international co-operation in this field, and develop a multi-year work plan that includes a set of recommendations to regulate and ensure the sustainability of lunar exploration.
