Education Minister Dr Mohammed Mubarak Juma yesterday approved several regulatory decisions for the private education sector.
These included licensing new private schools, an educational centre, early education institutions and expanding educational services in several private institutions, as well as transferring ownership of some licences.
School-related decisions included licensing the establishment of Al Mawahib British Private School and the addition of a secondary stage at Nadeen Private School.
Educational centre decisions included the licensing of the establishment of Kunooz Al Arabia Private Educational Centre.
The ministry also approved the licensing of Start Smart Nursery and Kindergarten, Rising Stars Nursery and Kindergarten, Sama Nursery, Children Without Borders Nursery, Flamingo Kindergarten and The Bahraini British Preschool.
A decision was also issued to transfer the ownership of Vanguard Preschool’s licence.
The minister highlighted that the improved licensing process has significantly accelerated issuing educational licences to many national institutions.
This supports expanding quality educational services for all age groups across Bahrain’s regions, which have growing demands for education.
The ministry will continue licensing institutions that meet the regulatory requirements according to the approved rules and regulations, he said.
