The kingdom has been able to turn the slogan of empowerment into a tangible reality by building trust with young people, he said yesterday, in a statement marking International Youth Day, observed every year on August 12.
The nation is also developing their capabilities, and instilling the principles of responsibility and belonging, which made Bahraini youth become a model of creativity and a pillar of development, Shaikh Nasser said.
The day is being marked this year under the theme, ‘Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond’.
He affirmed that the royal patronage of His Majesty is the solid foundation on which efforts to empower Bahraini youth are based, and reflects the King’s firm belief in their vital role in the nation’s present and future.

Every young Bahraini must realise that a vision can be achieved with work, that the future can only be a reality with will, and that building a nation begins with building oneself and developing ideas, Shaikh Nasser stressed.
He said that Bahrain is determined to support and empower young people in various fields, based on its firm belief that they are active partners in the development process and builders of a bright future.
He also affirmed that the path to a sustainable future begins with empowering young people, and that every opportunity given to a Bahraini youth is a new building block in constructing a successful nation.
